Learn From the Pros with Podcasting
The following were brainstormed ideas about making higher quality classroom podcasts, from a workshop on 8 Dec 2006.
What can we learn from the pros?
• There was a script
• Kids thought about their ideas (not impromptu)
• Encourages collaboration and reflection on their learning
• Kids have to think about what others need to know: they are teaching!
• music that was added in
• tied to prediction: There was music we’d here at one time, introduce a segment
• Terms kids used for “corners”
• Transitioned: Used segments
• Some projects can be big and daunting: this can be done a lot of without computers: the prep work!
• Simple 45 min recording can be done and finished
• Segments have backups / shownotes
